Club History
Cotswold Youth & AMX Club
Cotswold Youth Motorcycle Club was formed in the Autumn of 1968 by four parents who organised combined 'scrambles' and grass track race meetings for machines built from any moped or small motorcycle from that era. The original club logo was the winged wheel moped.
Obviously the machines evolved for the different types of sport and the club then split into the Cotswold Youth Motorcycle Club and the Cotswold Youth Grass Track Club.
As the sport became more popular more bikes were available so more groups were formed to accommodate the riders. Also the BSMA allowed Adult riders to compete, hence the AMX / Veteran classes and also the name change.
The Club has grown over the last 40 years to one of the biggest Youth Motocross clubs in the country, hopefully by keeping the friendly family atmosphere.
